Implementing an Editorial Mission: Clearview Posthaste

We’ve all heard the story a hundred times before—the website is live, social media channels are connected, and you feel confident that your brand is now well-represented on the web. I’m sure you’re familiar with the phrase “If you build it, they will come”, an adaptation from the 1989 Kevin Costner movie “Field of Dreams”. But there’s a problem—nobody is coming.

Part of creating a web presence that draws folks in is a blog that is regularly updated by you and the professionals you work with. There must be a strategy involved in choosing how your blog will differentiate itself from others. Most importantly, there must be an editorial mission for your blog, and you must make sure that folks are able and willing to post to it regularly to attract the attention that it needs.

Improve your game by setting your blogging objectives, getting to know what types of content most blogs contain, developing an editorial mission, and discovering ways to make money from your blog. Finally, consult a handy checklist to make sure you have all your blogging bases covered.

This is where ClearView can help. We are in the final stages of developing our new product, PostHaste, that accelerates your blogging with a simple interface. Using PostHaste, you can:

  1. Select some text from a source to reference in your Post
  2. Click our bookmark to load that source and create a new Post
  3. Add your own thoughts to it, and customize the title and image as well if you’d like
  4. When complete, click Submit to prep your post for approval

Once your Post is approved, it will be scheduled for publishing using our handy Editorial Calendar. Your PostHaste administrator will set up times and frequencies when you should write new content, and we’ll let you know when it’s your turn.

We’ve been hard-at-work developing our PostHaste alpha, and are getting ready to start rolling it out. In fact, this post about PostHaste was created … using PostHaste!

If you have any questions about PostHaste, let us know! Contact Chris LaFleur at chris@clearviewsocial.com, and we’ll get a demo scheduled for your team when our alpha is launched.

Until next time, Happy Sharing & Posting from ClearView Social!
