Why People Really Quit Their Jobs

“People don’t quit a job, they quit a boss”

Or so we used to think. This old adage just doesn’t seem to hold up to the facts. People need to feel properly utilized, as employees who use their strengths on a regular basis will be more fulfilled. A good manager, however, is still needed to identify these skills and form a job function to utilize them. Organizations must systemically change their employee utilization so that ALL employees are fulfilled.

The decision to exit was because of the work. They left when their job wasn’t enjoyable, their strengths weren’t being used, and they weren’t growing in their careers.
