Publishing to Facebook Pages with Clearview Social

A few weeks back, we posted an update on some changes coming to the Facebook API, and how Clearview Social would be adapting. Well, the time has arrived to roll out these changes, and we want to update you on how to set up your Clearview profile to utilize these new features.

Changes to Posting Shares to Facebook

Once this change is live (starting July 31st, 2018), you will no longer see Facebook as a selectable network in the Share Modal.

This change makes our software compliant with Facebook’s removal of automated posting to personal profiles. However: You can post to your Facebook profile using the Share to Facebook link from the Share Modal. You can still track the results using Clearview Social, and it will continue to use the comments that you add to the Share!

Note: You may have to allow popups from Facebook in your browser before using the Share to Facebook link.

Adding a Facebook Page

To enable scheduled and automated posting to Facebook via Clearview Social, you may connect a Facebook Page to which you have administrative rights. This is done on the Settings page:

Once you connect the page, you can click the page link to see the associated Facebook Page, or remove the page using the “Remove Page” link to the right of the listing. You may now schedule Shares and Share Immediately to Facebook using your connected Facebook Page!

That’s it! You can now schedule Shares from Queues, use Virtual Assistant, and Share All to your Facebook Page!

Future Facebook Integrations

We are going to continue to look for ways to enhance the Facebook integration in the near future, including sharing to Facebook Groups. Be on the lookout for new blog posts outlining these changes!
