Top 3 Takeaways from Dayton’s Social Media Masterclass

On December 12, 2017 Adrian Dayton hosted his first ever Social Media Master Class. This
master class was aimed toward taking the top 10% of all social media users and turning them into elite social media users. It meant for anyone who was looking to supercharge
the impact and regularly bring in new business from social media. With more than 250
sign-ups, it was one of Adrian’s most popular webinars to date. Below
are some of the top takeaways from Adrian Dayton’s Social Media Master Class.

1. Every Social Media Master Has the Right Focus

Empathy, audience, content, focus

Dayton kicked off the webinar by going over the question What Makes a Social Media Master?
He displayed the image above and stated that, “In order to have all three corners of the triangle
correct it starts with focus.” You must be laser-focused on your ideal market or client.

2. Find The Growing Market
Focus was a prominent topic within the webinar and Dayton continued analyzing the subject by
informing viewers that they must find and focus on markets experiencing high rates of growth.

Dayton used the photo above to go over finding a Growing Market.

“An example of a Mature Market would be general tax and corporate work. It’s real expensive to
bring in this kind of legal work online, because the market is already so mature. Declining markets would be like personal income taxes and wills which have become highly commoditized,”
shared Dayton.

He continued, “Block chain was emerging over the last 8 years and now it has seems to have hit primetime.
This is a market that is clearly in growth mode. Almost every new firm and new technology
around block chain will need new lawyers, new recruiters, new accountants, and new service
providers. This is a growing market and would make a good strategicfocus.”

3. How to Gain an Audience

Good, cheap, and fast does not exist

In the diagram above you can only pick two. You can gain an audience for free with a lot of work, fast if you spend a lot of money, and cheap/fast if you don’t care about quality. Dayton discussed some tactics to gain followers referencing the diagram above. Dayton said, “You could do it the fast and cheap way by buying followers but that is
completely worthless.”

He continued, “It’s good and cheap to do it yourself. And there is a simple way to do this. I always say find your doppelgänger. Find someone who is just like you but that is really good at social media. See who has followed them back, follow those people, and if you resemble that person a lot of those people will follow you back.”

This is just a glimpse of some of the great information shared during the webinar. Other
topics included a discussion about AI and trends, two notable guest speakers sharing their
favorite social media practices, and much more. If you missed the webinar you can watch
