What’s New: Login with Facebook & Multiple User Accounts

What’s New In ClearView Social is our blog series that brings you updates on what new features we’ve rolled out in the software. We’re excited to introduce two new features in our software this week, Login with Facebook and Multiple User Accounts. Read on to learn more!

Login with Facebook

An oft-requested feature from our users is to be able to log into ClearView Social using their connected Facebook accounts. With our new Login with Facebook button, you can now do exactly that.

To login using Facebook, you must first have a connected Facebook account. You can connect your Facebook account from the Settings page.

If you already have Facebook connected to your ClearView Social account, you can skip this step. You’re good to go!

Once you have Facebook connected, you can choose Login with Facebook from “other login options.”

Please note: if you are logged out of Facebook, you may be asked to enter your Facebook username and password to authorize ClearView Social to post on your behalf. Once you are logged in, you can get back to sharing.

Multiple User Accounts

If you are an agency with clients or an administrator of multiple teams that would like to have a separate account for each team, we now have you covered with Multiple User Accounts. You can now connect your LinkedIn, Twitter, Facebook, and e-mail to multiple end-users from within our software.

Let’s take a look at how this works:

I currently have my own user account in Adrian Dayton and Associates and I want to continue sharing to my colleagues in that organization. I also have another distinct team—let’s call it Nairda Notyad and Some Other Associates—that I want to share and post content with. To do this, I:

  1. Create a new user profile for myself at Nairda Notyad and Some Other Associates
  2. Connect my social media accounts just as I have done before.

That’s it! You’re now part of both teams and can share to both. And, the next time you log in, you will be prompted to select which user profile you’re working as. Or, in other terms, “select which hat you’re wearing during this session.” Ask yourself “Am I wearing my Eric at Adrian Dayton and Associates hat?” Or “Am I wearing my Eric with Nairda Notyad and Some Other Associates hat?”

Once you’ve decided, You simply sign in, choose which “hat” you’re wearing for this session, and start building your queue and/or sharing as you normally do.

Frequently Asked Questions

Q: If I have multiple user profiles within ClearView Social, will the leaderboard combine my shares?

A: The leaderboard is a list of users organized by team so, if you have multiple user profiles in ClearView Social, they will be listed separately by each team. If you are looking at the global leaderboard and both of your user accounts are showing then:

  1. You’re awesome!
  2. If dominating the global leaderboard is your ultimate objective, share only through one account and crush it!

Q: Can I log in to multiple user profiles using the same email and password?

A: Yes and no. You can log into your multiple profiles with the same email address, however, you’ll need separate, unique password for each profile. Our system recognizes both login + password to connect you to your proper user account.

Q: Can I connect multiple social media accounts to one user?

A: Multiple user accounts might be misunderstood as “Multiple Twitter accounts,” which is another feature we have been asked about. This feature does not yet allow connecting multiple LinkedIn, Twitter, or Facebook accounts to a single user. We do have this feature on our radar…stay tuned!

In Conclusion

We’re excited about the new opportunities these features will open up to you and your team(s). Please send us your feedback and, if you have any questions, you can always contact ClearView Support using the chat bubble in the lower-right corner of the user interface.

Thank you!
